How We StartedCanadian Women with Medical Heart Issues FaceBook (FB) Support Community started in 2017 to meet the need for casual support for women who were diagnosed with or at risk of heart disease or heart failure. We now have 1400+ members across Canada. Our group and this website are proudly affiliated with HeartLife Foundation of Canada.
My name is Jackie Ratz and I have been living with Heart Failure since 2017. I was motivated to start the FB group after I recognized I needed support and was unable to find adequate Canadian supports either in person or on-line. I continue to advocate to increase supports and knowledge for women everywhere in Canada.
